It's that time of year we've all been waiting for, the time of year when prices drop and we can buy the items we've always wanted. What a great opportunity!

But wait, is that really true?

I'll tell you a not-so-secret secret.

Black Friday is not for you. He's for the corporations.

Most of the time, we're fooled into believing that we need that new *product of choice*. Supposedly cheap prices let us grab a bargain and give us the dopamine rush we crave. Once that rush is over, however, we realize that most of the time we've bought things we don't need.

This works because we don't even know what most things are really worth. As a result, we are subjective and open to manipulation when told we can get something cheaper.

I believe that our decision to buy should NOT be based on the fact that we can get something cheaper, but because we genuinely believe in the product/thing or have an actual benefit from it.

Basically, Black Friday pretty much contradicts everything Raglan stands for.

Of course it is your decision what you buy and you can and should be satisfied with it.

With Räglan, I'm just trying to offer an alternative, an opportunity for conscious consumption and at the same time to support projects that serve the common good with the added value from our consumption.

That's why from today until Sunday evening 24:00 100% of the profit will be donated to our partners (NGO's).

(It's been scientifically proven that feeling rushed forces us to make bad decisions. Decisions we often regret afterwards. So I want to give you the time to make a conscious decision about supporting us with your purchase want or not).

Whether you want to use it or not is entirely up to you.

But I would like to ask you to pause for a moment and realize that with every purchase you take responsibility for who and what you support and thus actively contribute to shaping this world.
